I. all of us are members
of the cargo cult,
waiting for the savior
that they call John Frumm.
if you are a member
of the cargo cult,
you will be rewarded
when the cargo comes.

where John Frumm will come

before we all were born

we are out of favor,
we must now reclaim
dances and the rituals
we used to do.

for John Frumm,
forty years of waiting
for a sacred trust.

or will we still be waiting
when we turn to dust?
