INVISIBLE BELLS
WORDS & MUSIC: Earl P. Reinhalter
I. I'm living in a tower
of invisible bells.
mute shock waves
shredding myself.
echoing, throbbing...
god, they are dumb:
dumb dumb da dumb
da dumb da dumb da dumb.
II. casual observers
hear you explain
the absence
of yesterday's love,
who waits in the dark
while the moon and the stars
are pulling at me
like secret ocean tides.
III. silence
is the ultimate weakness:
too weak to be truthful,
there's not even strength
to tell me a lie.
well, I am worth loving.
I'm even worth hating.
you've got me feeling
worth nothing at all,
ENDING: like living in a tower,
living in a tower
of invisible bells,
in my invisible hell.
living in a tower, tower
tower, tower,
tower of invisible bells,
in my invisible hell.
invisible bells,
invisible bells,
invisible bells,
invisible bells,
invisible bells,
invisible bells.
