OPEN THE DOOR
WORDS & MUSIC: Earl P. Reinhalter
I. there's a wind outside my window
and it's calling out to me:
open the door.
it whistles in the shingles
and it whispers in the trees:
open the door.
II. liquid arrows in the air
strike the ground and disappear.
open the door, open the door.
it's flooding in the garden
of my thirsty atmosphere.
open the door, open the door
once more.
III. the icy stare of winter
and summer's temper say:
open the door, open the door.
and I'm turning old and grey
waiting for a perfect day.
open the door, open the door
once more.
ENDING: open the door...
open the door...
open the door...
open the door...
(repeat and fade)
