JACKS SUGAR SHACK 7-18-95
On May 30, 1995, Ronnie Mack's Barn Dance concluded its run at the Palomino, and later moved to another venue.
The 7-18-95 show, at Jacks Sugar Shack, was a rockabilly blowout featuring Ray Campi, Glen Glenn, Rip Masters, Russell Scott & the Red Hots, the Dave & Deke Combo, Tony Conn, and Allen Clark (Gene Vincent's stand-in with the reconstituted Blue Caps).

BISCOTTI & BOOKS 8-13-95
Local pop music historian - and former pop star himself (1960s hit "You Turn Me On") - Ian Whitcomb put on this show at a bookstore in Glendale. Besides Ian and Ray, the show also featured jazz guitar legend Diz Disley, classic Mexican songstress Esperanza, and Ian's wife Regina.

Collectors of music-related art should check our Diz Disley page. Although the British musician is known in the jazz world for his guitar work with Stefan Grapelli, he has also had a long stint as illustrator for the music weekly Melody Maker, and in recent years has had a second career with his full-color pieces.
