"Invisible Backwards" came about as a result of a lucky accident. On a whim, I had flipped over one of the original 4-channel master tapes and played it backwards just to hear how it sounded. The backing track for "Invisible Bells" had a haunting, spacey quality that I quite liked. And so I used it, along with some of the lyrics from the original song, for a whole new recording.
Recorded 10/5/1985 through 12/10/1985. Engineered and mixed by Electric Earl.

The original cassette version of this album had track #1-9 on side one, and #10-18 on side two.

Instrumentation included a toy organ by Magnus (photos), and a Mattel Synsonic drum machine (photos).

Although I had been billing myself as Electric Earl for my live shows since 1983, I continued to use my full legal name on recordings until 1986.

All words and music by Earl P. Reinhalter.
